20 Jan Midlands Garden Centre – passionate, knowledgeable horticulturists
The Midlands Garden Centre is a wonderful family run nursery situated just off the R103 near Rosetta. They have been in operation for over 16 years and have created a beautiful environment. They welcome customers in with their warm, country hospitality and tranquil surrounds.
Jacky and Albert Jooste run the garden center after taking over from their dad, Chris Koch. At the Midlands Garden Centre they are all about personal service and will help you in any way you need. They are passionate about what they do and have an extensive horticulture knowledge and know exactly what plants work in the midlands climate. Jacky and Albert are flexible and accommodating to your needs and can advise you on what plants will work in your specific environment.
The Midlands Garden Centre’s plants are reasonably priced and they have a wonderful range of indigenous plants, flowers, trees, vegetables and herbs, seedlings, pots, insecticides and lots more. Their plants are great quality and always look healthy and strong. They stock plants that can survive the frosty midlands conditions as well as some unusual varieties that you won’t always find at larger commercial nurseries.
Accompanying the garden center is their Green Bean Coffee shop. This is a lovely, rustic coffee shop where they serve Mokador coffees as well as tramezzinis and fresh, homemade cakes. It is a relaxing spot to catch up with friends over coffee and cake. As you sit outdoors, on a wooden deck, you are surrounded by beautiful greenery with the sound of chirping birds filling the air. The Green Bean Coffee shop is a fabulous place to have a simple bite to eat in a pretty setting.
They also have a small shop where they sell pretty pots, a range of seedings, flower boxes, colourful gumboots and more. For a beautiful garden center with reasonable prices, helpful staff and a warm atmosphere then be sure to check out the Midlands Garden Centre in Rosetta.
